HEC Opens National Research Programme for Universities 2026–27

On 30 October, Pakistan’s Higher Education Commission invited universities and researchers to submit proposals under the National Research Programme for Universities (NRPU) 2026–27. The programme supports research in social sciences, emerging sciences, technology development and other priority areas, with the submission deadline set for 30 October. HEC also removed the previously applicable Rs5,000 application fee under its announced relaxations. Universities, research centres and consulting firms can explore opportunities in research computing, scientific data processing and digital learning infrastructure.
